Famous for having Jimi Hendrix in his band in the ‘60s, by 1974 Curtis Knight was trading licks with future Motorhead guitarist Fast Eddie Clark on this second album under the name Curtis Knight Zeus. As ever Knight has a soulful RnB feel lurking with a penchant for blues phrasing when called upon, but there’s some raucous riffing here too as you’d expect on a set of songs that contain his inimitable swagger.
