A fine 1973 album that catches Hayes in superb bump and grind mood on five lengthy songs including the glorious I’m Gonna Make It Without You and the epic 15-minute title track. One of his funkiest outings for Stax, I Love You That’s All’s interplay of vocals and instrumental makes it a must-have set, the song having already been sampled by Eric B And Rakim, TLC and Massive Attack, with all its champagne opening, gold chain wearing, sex God ramble at the start and the cool groove that eventually unfolds.
