Marxist Hip-Hop with an Irish bent recorded and produced in Bristol! From this unlikely combination came a classic piece of UK Hip Hop released through Talkin’ Loud in 1993. Fusing loping Bristolian beats with jazzy and traditional Irish melodies Marxman created a unique sound. Add their socially and politically aware lyrics to the mix, especially on tracks such as All About Eve, and you’ve got a great album well worth a reappraisal.
