Originally released as a double album in 1983, this live set recorded at the Royal Albert Hall over two nights featured part time guitarist Robert Smith as the band ran through the material from their Juju and A Kiss In the Dreamhouse albums along with the two extremes of their Beatles’ fascination, the hit single Dear Prudence and their Manson-esque reading of the brooding Helter Skelter. Later released as a DVD in all of its period pomp, Nocturne remains a powerful statement from a band entering yet another phase of their lengthy career.
